Sūtradhāra

सूत्रधार  ·  the thread-holder

We hold the threads.

A fellowship of young people, bound in common purpose across the world, devoted to the renewal of a great inheritance and to the building of what outlasts us.

The Weave

One thread is a single life. Woven together, they are a tradition, and we are here to keep the weave whole.

A renaissance

We mean to see this inheritance flourish again. Not kept as a relic, but built anew, in great works and in lives held to a higher standard.

A fellowship

Bound in solidarity and common purpose, we stand for one another, answer when called, and hold one another to a mark few keep.

A shared greatness

Greatness here is shared by design, handed from one set of hands to the next.

The Mark

Our mark is three threads, bound as one: a vow we keep and a standard we answer to. The Sanskrit सूत्र means both thread and aphorism: the line you follow, and the truth worth keeping short.

The trinity त्रिमूर्ति
Brahmā, Viṣṇu, Śiva: the making, the keeping, and the change that clears the way for more. One movement told in three turns.
The three guṇas गुण
Sattva, rajas, tamas: clarity, motion, and stillness, the qualities woven through all things, and through us.
The vow
Purity in thought, word, and deed. A thread worn against the body is a reminder you cannot set down.
The thread-holder सूत्रधार
The sūtradhāra holds every strand in time, as the director holds a play. We took the name, and answer to it.
